From Top to Bottom: SHARPY on the Lookout - AUNT GINI Striking a Pose - MUFASA Glaring at his Prey - A Planted BONSAI BOY - GRIDDY Hiding in Tree Trunk ;)

Hello My Lovelies,

Welcome to the 10th round of Bring IT! here at nittyGriddy!

I decided to start with a little bragging – but in my defense, it’s kinda my way of thanking you for making this community the incredible one that it is. You all rock and I should start serving you wine and cheese when you come to hang out.

Last week’s Bring IT! post on blogging pet peeves has generated 164 comments (and counting) so far.

One.Six.Four!!!

Can you see the big smile on my face? No? Well, look closer cause here it is again :D.

These darn emoticons just don’t do my teeth justice plus I’m in hiding in the picture. But you can see my friends though ;).

Alright here’s the thing…

I spent hours thinking of a topic for today’s post and as I mentioned last week – I have quite the list but I gotta’ be inspired to write about a particular topic. So I started thinking about the subjects that inspire me at this moment. I tried everything you could possibly think of but I drew a blank. And then I had an epiphany of some sorts.

It’s bloggers I read that inspire me and it’s my readers who comment that motivate me.

They take time out of their busy days to drop by and read what I have to say and then share with others. Not only that, but they leave amazing comments that are as thorough and thoughtful as any blogger could hope for. Ummm…do I need to say 1.6.4 again lol?

So I asked myself…how can I thank them? How can I make their blogging journeys a little easier? What little thing can I do for them in return for all they do for me?

And here’s what I decided. I want you to tell me…

What’s Your Blog Posting Schedule?

But wait…why I’m asking, is not for the same reasons you think!

What the heck do you mean Griddy?

Well, for God’s sake read on!

I want to know what days you publish posts on YOUR blog.

I don’t care if you post whenever you feel like it, every other Tuesday, MWF, everyday except weekends or simply when it rains.

I care that you tell me WHEN in the comments. Explain it to me if you have to but be clear.

Why?

Because I’m going to roundup all the posting schedules that are left in the comments and turn them into a simple document with each person’s blog name and the days they post. You’ll be able to see it here, download it and even print it out to put on your fridge or bathroom mirror.

That’s right – I’m making my life harder and yours easier – ha!

Actually, I intend to make Brankica’s life hard as well, because I’ll be running to her for everything techie related. I figured she has to say yes or I’ll threaten to take her dog Roma and suffocate her with bundles of Griddy love and hugs :).

Anyways, two heads are always better than one, so Sharpy will be helping me out.

You will no longer need to remember when some of your favorite blogs publish their articles. All you’ll have to do is look at the golden list that I’ll be providing you with. You can even highlight just the blogs you’re interested in.

But here’s the catch:

If you don’t comment and tell me when you publish, your blog WILL NOT be included in the Mega Guide to Blog Posting Schedules.

Now for the rules:

  1. If I don’t know you (or you’re not sure) and this is your first time commenting on this blog – please tell me your name, nickname or whatever you go by as well as your blog’s name and it’s theme/tagline. Make sure to include a direct link to your blog. I’d also appreciate a small hello. If you want to promote yourself here, you gotta be nice and polite ;).
  2. If you have a set schedule, tell me what days you publish. If you don’t, explain it to me and I will include it as such. Be as specific as you can. If you make it hard on me, I won’t bother too much.
  3. You MUST RT this blog post. And I’ll like you even more if you Digg it, Stumble it, share it on Facebook and wherever else you want. Tell me what you did in the comments.
  4. You have till Tuesday, April 12th 7 pm EST (2 am my time) to leave your details. All comments after that time will NOT be included in the Guide itself.
  5. The Mega Guide will be published here on either Saturday, April 16 or Monday, April 18. The exact date will be disclosed in an update.
  6. If you can think of a better and less boring name for the Mega Guide to Blog Posting Schedules – then I’m all ears. I’ll be brainstorming as well.

That’s it! Now all you gotta do is Bring IT!

As for Me…

Well, many of you know that I publish this series on Wednesday’s and my SuperPost roundups on Sundays. And there’s usually one in between – doesn’t matter on which day, I don’t have a set posting schedule. What matters is that I post quality content frequently and rather consistently.

What About You?

Care to be featured in the Mega Guide to Blog Posting Schedules?

This is your chance to shamelessly promote yourself.

Hit the comments and tell me when you post and anything else you want me to know!

Ingrid Abboud aka 'Griddy' is a whole lot of things with a ridiculous amount of interests. For one, I'm a Social Media enthusiast with a tremendous passion for writing and blogging. I'm also a pretty cool Copywriter but a more serious MarCom Consultant. But most of all, I'm the proud owner and driving force behind nittyGriddy.com - A Kinda Social Media Journal with Net News & more.

    Hey Ingrid!
I’m James. ‘First time caller, longer time listener’… actually, not true, just found your blog today, interesting content, got my attention, nice job! So, hi [insert cheesy emoticon with hand wave].

I blog about ‘how small business owners can get better results’. I tried writing about watching grass grow, but I think that niche was too small.

Blog Title/Name: Small Business Development Blog
    Blog URL: http://mimosaplanet.com/Small-Business-Blog
Scheduled: 5 times a week, Mon through Fri. 10:15am Eastern (US).

Great idea this guide, “MEGA GUIDE” no less! Nice title. RT away.

    Ciao!

    • http://nittygriddy.com/ Ingrid Abboud

      Hi James,

I’m glad you stopped by and left a comment :).
Happy to have you included in this guide and I hope to see you around these parts more often.

Do you have a tagline that you’d like me to include? Is it Developing Business to Succeed?
Please let me know if you want me to include that or not as soon as possible.

      Thanks
      Happy weekend to you
      Cheers

      • http://mimosaplanet.com James M Cooper

        Hi Ingrid,
You’re on to it re: tagline, yes you can include that.
        Cheers!

        • http://nittygriddy.com/ Ingrid Abboud

Great thanks for letting me know :).
          Cheers

  • http://twitter.com/adamtoporek Adam Toporek

    Hi Ingrid,

I just discovered your site a few weeks ago and have really enjoyed reading through it. Between your posts and your comments, you are an amazingly prolific writer. And this project.. wow! Looking at the long list of comments, I bet you’re glad you set a deadline.

Here is the info for the guide:

    1. My Name: Adam Toporek
    2. Blog Name: Adam Toporek’s Small Business and Franchising Blog
    3. URL: http://intensefence.com/blog
    4. Tagline: None
    5. Schedule: Still finding my groove. Twice a week, no set schedule is probably pretty safe.
    6. Will RT a few times for you.

Now, since this is my first time commenting here, I don’t want to overstep, but I didn’t notice anyone taking you up on suggesting a different name for the Mega Guide. I think after all of the hard work you are going to do on this guide, it should at least bear your name. To wit…

Griddy’s Gargantuan Guide to Blog Posting Schedules

It’s the alliteration of the G’s that makes it work :)

Thanks and good luck with the project! Off to RT.

    • http://nittygriddy.com/ Ingrid Abboud

      Hi Adam,

Thanks so much for your very kind and encouraging words. I really appreciate all that you said here :)). It’s always nice to hear and a great motivator. I try my best to reply to each person in kind – and though I’m usually much more timely – I admit to being slow with replying to everyone this time round. So my apologies for the wait.

I’m glad you like the idea behind this project – definitely a lot of work but I hope well worth it. I thought it would be neat to have some kind of a guide for people to refer to and though I would have loved to include everyone I know and read or even heard of – it would have been too massive of an undertaking and therefore limited it to people who commented here. And of course – I had to put a deadline or I’d be releasing the guide in 2020 lol ;).

And thanks a lot for giving your input with the names :). Wooohooo and LOL. I like it. You had me at Griddy’s Gargantuan hahaha. But alas…I will have to keep my name out of this one – but maybe the next one for sure.

      Happy to include you here.
I hope to see you around these parts more foten.
      Have a good weekend.

      Cheers

      Hey Ken,

Awesome of you to leave me your info in such a clear and concise way :). Thank you!

Well hello to you my Sista FOM :)!

I’m happy you dropped by and thanks making the info so clear and simple for me – woohoooo!
I’m gonna try my best to keep this guide as easy and practical as I can for folks to refer to.

I’ll put you down for Mon. and Wed. as well as a no set schedule.
      Hope that’s cool with you.
I say dugg – wait..sometimes I say digged as well – ahhhh shoot now you’ve got me confused.
Okay – maybe it’s suppose to be I Dugg it?! That’s what I’m going with for this one. But then again – if you loved this post then you digged it.

Never mind – I’ll stop now – this could obvciously go on forever haha.
      Happy Sunday to ya Antonia.

Hello Griddy. My name is Glynis Jolly. I use my full name or my 1st name on the Internet. This looks like it’s going to be a great opportunity. Thank you.

The name of my blog is Musings By Glynis. My subtitle is: Seeing the world from the inside, outside, and on the fence of disability.

I discuss opinions (mostly mine) about disability, tips to help people feel more comfortable with disability, an occasional news item about it and I also blog about me blogging.

The schedule of my blog is Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday scheduling all of them for 5am CST US. The Sunday one is special and is called The Sunday Post. It’s a series of post about different subjects. Right now the series is Ya’ Sas Crete!.

I hope I have put enough down without boring you.

    • http://nittygriddy.com/ Ingrid Abboud

      Hi Glynis,

Great of you to stop by.
Thanks for leaving your info in such a clear way. I appreciate it :).
Happy to include you and your blog. I hope this guide will come in handy for you and many.

I hope to see you around these parts more often.
      Cheers

PS – In much of the Middle East and other Mediterranean countries such as Greece – yelling – means it’s important too ;). Liked your Sunday post btw.

  • http://twitter.com/TishaBerg Tisha Berg

    Hi Griddy!

My name is Tisha and my blog is tMedia. I have come across your blog quite a few times over the past six months and I have always left with a smile…thanks for giving me a great excuse to stop lurking and say hello!

Awesome work you do here and I look forward to getting to know you better. The Mega Guide is a fantastic idea, sure to be a wildly valued resource, so thank you…

My blog is brand-spanking new (grand total of 2 posts completed!), so I’m still working on the schedule, but for now it looks like the plan is to post on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings.

I’ve Stumbled, tweeted and shared this post on Facebook (which I’m sure I’ll be doing a lot more of on my future visits here!)

Thanks again for this terrific opportunity, Griddy; glad to be in the number! :-)

    Have a great weekend…

    • http://nittygriddy.com/ Ingrid Abboud

      Hey Tisha,

Great to have you here. Sorry for the late reply :(. Been trying to catch up here and get to everyone.
Glad you like the idea of the Guide – I’m trying to keep it as basic and simple as possible to only include the info I asked for so it doesn’t get too complicated.

I’m linking to your blog itself on tmedia and not the actual sales page or home page because I wanted to the direct link to the blog. Also since you only have 5 posts so far (without dates on them) I would rather have you as no set schedule for now. Future plans will have to go with the second edition of this guide if I decide to do one.

Thanks again for stopping by with your info.
      Happy Sunday to you.

      Cheers

  • http://positivespinblog.com Linda Hewett

I’m very overexcited about this, Ingrid, and hope you’ll be able to include me in your guide to Blogging Schedules.
I usually post on Mondays and Thursdays, as that way I can write my best content and not feel rushed. I also blog each week for Kiesha over at weBlogBetter and try to write my best there too.

    My blog is http://positivespinblog.com.

I focus on finding fun and optimism in life – my tag is ‘Live Life On The Upside’. My main topics are reader and comment led, about confidence, self esteem, making changes and taking risks (no, not THAT sort of risk…)

Brankica’s Saturday Post has sent me here and I shall be subscribing. Glad I found you today!
    Thanks,
    Linda/Positive Spin

    • http://nittygriddy.com/ Ingrid Abboud

      Hey Linda,

I love your posts over at Kiesha’s blog – I read them quite often as I’m a big fan of Kiesha’s work in general. She’s just a lovely woman and does a heck of a job over at We Blog Better.

I’m happy you like this idea – I really hope it comes in handy for people – although I’m doing my best to keep it very basic and simple so as not to confuse folks. Just putting the info they need to know to go to each blog.

Thanks so much for stopping by and leaving your info. Plus, you made it very clear for me so I’m grateful to ya haha.

I hope to see you around these parts more often and thanks for subscribing :).

I look forward to visiting your blog as well.

      Happy weekend to you.

    • http://twitter.com/ExtremelyAvg Brian Meeks

I agree with Linda, it is a very exciting idea. I think a 12 step program for people addicted to blogging, would be delightful as well.

      Hello

My Name is @ExtremelyAvg…and I am a blogger.

      Crowd (Hello Brian)

It all started on Jan 2, 2010. I didn’t think it would hurt to try it once, I mean, everyone was doing it. One time wouldn’t mean anything. So I wrote a blog post about woodworking. Then people started to respond. They were very nice and befoe I knew it I was hooked.

I have blogged everyday since. I can’t quit. 464 days and counting. But that isn’t all. The euphoria from writing my own posts wasn’t enough, I started to guest blog. There was a post on a chess site, then a building site, and then an Architecture site in Brazil. I just couldn’t get enough.

Of course, this wasn’t the end. I started to use my blog for writing larger projects. Now I have completed 2 novels, and am working on a 3rd. I even used the blog to talk about the rewrites for “The Henry Wood Detective Agency”, to be released 1st week in June in hard copy and on Kindle, Nook, ect.

This has gone on for a long time, but I didn’t realize I had a problem until I bought a blue tooth wireless keyboard, for my iphone! When on breaks at work, I write. It has taken over my life. I can’t stop.

      *hangs head in shame*

      Thanks for listening,

      Brian

        Well hello there Mr. Meeks,

Great to have you on board.
Once again you have me LOLing to your words :).
I find incredible that you have been and continue to blog every single day with fantastic guest posts in between and 3 books. i don’t even know what to say except for WOW and WOW again! I’m beyond impressed and kinda jealous hahaha.

Good for you and best of luck on this amazing journey of yours.
        To your continued success.

        Cheers

  • http://twitter.com/skypulsemedia Howie at Sky Pulse Media

I blog the same reason I do drugs. Because everyone is doing it and I am a total follower. I cave to peer pressure like no other. In fact I might take up the nicotine patch because I don’t smoke but nicotine is cool. And if I got hooked I could start smoking to help me get off the patch. Just like Charlie Sheen is a winner, I want to be a winner too and I joined twitter because he does drugs and he tweets. And if he started blogging I would totally be a drug using tweet serving blog writing winner. Which is totally my goal in life.

Well if my blog gets one new reader from this I will be grateful for having my readership doubled Ingrid!

    My blog link is http://www.winningateverythingbecauseican.com

ooops nope but damn I need to buy that URL before someone else does.

    http://spaceagencynotes.blogspot.com/

My goal while I do not follow it is:
Mobile Monday – focused on Mobile Marketing, Phones/Technology, LBS etc
Social Tuesday – Anything and everything Social Media
Wed-Thurs are random but normally marketing focused when I do blog those days
Fun Friday – which I fell off the wagon but starting again this coming Friday is anything funny, irreverant, unusual etc could be people places things or just plain silliness.

    • http://www.3hatscommunications.com/blog/ davinabrewer

Adding to the RSS reader.. may even read it and not just ‘mark as read’ every week.

I’m sure you have your share of readers my dear Chief Alien – you are much too modest.

I kinda like that first link of yours – hmmmm…. 😉
Happy to include you here my friend.
I’m putting you down for mon to friday.

      See ya later
      Ciao

  • http://www.omnificdesign.com.au/ GraphicDesignMelbourne

Hi, Ingrid. Congratulations with the 164 and counting comments to last week’s Bring It! You deserve it and more. 😉 Because I have been pretty busy the past weeks, I may or may not have read that post. Either way, I will get to it soon as I am trying to catch up on my reading fast.

So, as to the promotion bit, I am Wes Towers of http://www.omnificdesign.com.au/. That is my business site, although you can also find my blog there. I recently finished an ebook, The Ultimate Referral Machine and has started a little bit of competition so that I can give away three of them away for free. I would love it if you could join in on the fun. 😉

I admit, I don’t have a specific schedule in posting articles on my blog though. But, I try to post two or three times a week. Usually at the start of the week, then right at the middle and then once during the weekend. This depends on how busy I am though because there are times when I can’t post anything in a week at all. Heheheh…I intend to change this soon and stick to a schedule. But, right now, that is how it is.

Thanks for this chance to promote. Like Brankica and her techy stuff, you are a gem with your ideas.

    – Wes –

    • http://nittygriddy.com/ Ingrid Abboud

      Hey Wes,

Thanks so much for kind and supportive words :)! I really appreciate them. It’s comments like these that I consider to be the greatest motivator behind what I do here on nittyGriddy.

I’m glad you like this idea. I hope this little guide comes in handy for you.
Btw – where is your eBook? I was on your blog but couldn’t see a sign or link to it.
Happy to have you included in here.

      Have a good week.
      Cheers

    Hi Griddy!

I figured it out. You are just so popular, I was not able to visualize the comments box at the end of the stream of comments! 164 comments on a post that is superb. As I had said in my email, I found you via John Falchetto, via Marcus Sheridan via Gina Dietrich :)

First and foremost, thank so much for offering to make a megaschedule and allow us to shamelessly promote our blogs.

    1. My name is Rajka “Ryka”
Direct Link: http://expatdoctormom.com My blog offers FREE healthcare advice to anyone anywhere and provides up to date information in 4 categories: Healthcare/Parenting, Travel/Expat, Fashion/Beauty, and Profession/Personal Development titled My Projects

    2. I publish one post a week for now on Sunday and believe in Quality over quantity

    3. I retweeted your post!

    Best,
    Rajka

    • http://nittygriddy.com/ Ingrid Abboud

      Hey Rajka,

Good to see you made it here :). Sorry about the little trouble you had the first time round. I’m grateful to my good friends Gini, John and Marcus for sending you my way.
Happy to include you in here.
Hope to see you around these parts more often.

      Cheers

  • http://www.techwork.dk Thomas

    Hi Ingrid
I will love to be included in your little project here. Well if you get 164 comments again I think it will be quite a big project for you and Brankica 😉

    1. I guess you know me by now I come here regular and spam your great blog with my comments 😉
Just to make it easy for you my name is Thomas and my blog is http://www.techwork.dk

    2. For Post schedule I only have one rule and that is at least one post at week. That is normally in the weekend where I have most time. My blog is a hobby project. I have fulltime job to take care of.
Sometimes when I feel that I have the time I sneak in an extra post doing the week.
By the way I blog about Technology, gadgets, Blogging and stuff like that.

    3. I have clicked on the RT, Stumble and Digg it :-)

Good luck with the project Ingrid and Brankica

    • http://nittygriddy.com/ Ingrid Abboud

      Hey Thomas,

Well – big project is right my friend. Once I finish replying to the comments here – this post will clear 300 comments :)))!

      Thanks for leaving your info.
BTW – do you have a tagline that you want me to use? Also – should I just use Thomas or your full name? As you wish – but please do let me know as soon as you can. Thanks.

I look forward to having you in here.
      Cheers

    • http://nittygriddy.com/ Ingrid Abboud

Actually Thomas – I’m gonna’ use the little tagline you have under your name. However – for your blog’s name – do you want me to use Tech Work or Techwork.dk or Techwork in one word?
Should I not hear back from you – I will go with Techwork in one word – hope that’s okay.

  • http://www.awebguy.com/ Mark Aaron Murnahan

I know that you would never, in a million years, imagine me to be a smartass, but I have come with a surprise! Just because you asked for it, I created a page especially for you, Ingrid. 😉

Instead of just my regular blog archive, I created “History of SEO and Social Media Marketing Blog” specifically to answer your question. I even included a chart. 😀

    http://www.awebguy.com/publishing-schedule/

Since you asked, I am tweeting, facebooking, digging, and stumbling right now.

      Mark,

      THAT. IS. AWESOME!!!
I can’t believe you did that – and boy am I smiling right now. And of course – feeling honored as heck that you did it on my account. Well – maybe not mine so to say but that you had me in mind when you did :))).

However – sweet and silly? Hahaha
I’m gonna’ add another 2 S’s to that and say sweet, silly, and super smart hehehe. Kidding. Really – thanks and it looks great. Must have taken you quite some time to list all 296 of your articles. wow.

After seeing your chart – I’m thinking I should have you down for posting everyday except for Saturday since it seems to be the only one that’s not as consistent as the rest. Would that be cool with you? Or would you prefer something else? Cause there’s no real set schedule per say but you’re very consistent in publishing many times a week.

Let me know if you prefer otherwise please. I’d be happy to do as you ask.

Thanks again and really nicely done Mr. Murnahan aka Scooby :).

      Happy Saturday to ya.
      Cheers

I have been a technology CEO for well over a decade, and I didn’t delegate well at first. Thus, I became a wicked-good programmer. I don’t make lists the “Old Fashioned” way.

So, there you have it … I am a not just a dork, I am a geek, too! 😀

I agree about the “S”s, so I added the recommended ones.

As for scheduling, it seems that my brain works in spurts. At my age, it probably has something to do with a hormonal cycle. When a hot flash hits, I take it to the keyboard. My new business mantra, which also applies to my blogging is as follows:

“My job is to create marketing as awesome as sex and bacon. Even when I fail, it is at least as good as ham and a hand job.”

I can’t be expected to pork like that every day. This old man needs his rest, too!

        • http://nittygriddy.com/ Ingrid Abboud

          LMAO!!!!!

I really do like it when you stop by with your incredibly funny and thoughtful comments Mark :). And I can’t believe you went back to add the 2 “S’s hahahha. I hope you know that I was joking about that – they were the first things that came to mind when thinking of S words (although now I’m thinking a hell of a lot more haha) but I’ll take it and I’m grateful to you that you did :). Very kind and pretty awesome of you to have done that.

“My job is to create marketing as awesome as sex and bacon. Even when I fail, it is at least as good as ham and a hand job.” – No comment – except for simply priceless LOL.

Hope you’re having a nice and relaxing weekend.
          Cheers

          • http://www.awebguy.com/ Mark Aaron Murnahan

What can I say? You know, it is quite a challenge to actually live up to being as kickass as I tell people I am. Of course, because I don’t want people to feel awkward or threatened by me, I will share what I said just moments ago right here on the Intertubes:
            —-
While outdoing a neighbor with my superior lawn, I reminded him that “Just because I am in first place does not mean it is a competition.”
            —-

On the pork note, I really think a person should have meaningful goals to live up to. Mine include tobacco, caffeine, copulation, booze, and mmmmmmm-mmmm, yummy critters.

It is a nice weekend, but relaxation is for the competition … I’ll let them relax all they like.

    Hi Griddy,

Wonderfully kind idea, adding this extra work to your shoulders! And congrats on the 1.6.4. :)

My name is Vernessa Taylor. Usually I pen articles about online business systems along with some tips to help local brick-and-mortar owners get comfortable with using technology related to their new internet presence.

    1. My posting “schedule” is non-existent. I tend to post infrequently so when I do write, they tend to be a bit longer than usual. Here’s the info …

This is a HOT one Griddy!

I’m Jk, known by many has the Hustler!!!!!!! Okay, I’ll stop with the jokes.

Congrats on your 164 comments. that’s awesome. And, I’m honored that my link made that post! I’m not officially a part of history.

I don’t have a schedule. I post once per week, but because of my scheduled (you know, family, kids, work, etc.) I don’t even have a certain day of the week. Tends to fall between Tuesday and Thursday, but it always changes!

I’m going to find my trusty logins for DIGG AND SU so I can share this post. And of course I’ll be RT’n it!

    PEACE

    • http://nittygriddy.com/ Ingrid Abboud

      Well hello there Mr. Hustler,

Pretty cool indeed about the comments – but I see this post here just crushed that last one so once again I’m pretty happy and of course going through these one by one to make sure I respond to each person.

And once again – it was really my pleasure to have your awesome post included in that roundup. Truly deserved to be there and I can confidently say – expect to see a heck of a lot more :).

For bloggers who don’t have a set schedule – that will probably be what I will have to put. I’m still deciding on whether to have a little notes section – and if I do – it will say once per week or something of the sort.

Either way – I’m happy to have you included in this guide. I hope it comes in handy for people.

      Have a great weekend JK.
      Cheers

    3. Tweeted and promoted.

    • http://nittygriddy.com/ Ingrid Abboud

      Hi Randy,

      Nice to have you here.
      Almost daily – including weekends?
Sorry but if I put you down for everyday then I want to make sure it’s accurate.

If you can come back and let me know – I’d really appreciate it.
If you don’t have a set schedule – then not a problem – I can put you down as that too. But since if you have days which you always publish on – then I can combine those with the no set schedule.

      Will be waiting for ya.
As for Courtney – wow – pretty crazy the coincidence eh :)?!

      Cheers

Great idea, and thanks so much for doing this, for all of us. I can’t wait to see the final list, it will be a good resource. Hi, I’m Billy Kirsch, a Grammy & Emmy nominated hit songwriter and musical team builder, http://kidbillymusic.com/blog. I usually blog about creativity and learning for companies. I blog on Tuesday and Thursday mornings and try to publish by about 10:00 am Central Time. I actually try to blog more often than just those two days, but that’s my minimal schedule. I’ve tweeted this post and mentioned it on facebook. And now, I’ll follow you via RSS.

    HI Ingrid:

Today when I came I decided to spill my guts. I post twice a week. Days have changed a few times. Depends on the amount of writing work I have. My work is needed by others at the right time for their schedules and I have to up keep this responsibility I have to ignore my work at times, to give them theirs and that is the name of the game.

Hope you like it this time.

I MUST have a schedule or I get lazy. I mean, I am lazy so a schedule IS a must.

    Tuesday and Thursday–>Always

Monday—> Sometimes (Only if I can’t get the wild hair out of my…)
Friday—> when I get my butt up to post about my own personal fav. I did 10, Griddy included. And then I got real busy. I plan to have my personal favs up and running again soon. It’s hard to pick one!

Now it is in writing and I have to stick to it, thanks Ingrid! LOL.

    Have an amazing day!

    • http://nittygriddy.com/ Ingrid Abboud

      Hey Allie,

Nice of you to drop by.
I hear you about having a schedule – for some people it’s the best way to go and I’m glad it’s working for you.

I’m gonna put you down for Tues. and Thurs for now. I’d love to include Friday’s as well – but if I do it means it’s a regular thing. I want to be as accurate as possible – if I can – in order to make it easy for readers to know when there’s a post. So if you’re pretty sure about having Friday’s as a regular post then I’ll definitely include it – if not – then I’ll just put a no set schedule as well.

      Up to you :).

      Happy Saturday to ya.
      Cheers

      • http://www.ramblingsofawahm.com AllieRambles

        Thanks Ingrid,

Don’t put Friday just yet. As I speak I am trying to schedule my days out and my Personal Fav Fridays may get a remodel. So for now, just Tuesday and Thursday, those are very constant.

I’m including your blog in here of course – but if you want me to include FBBB then let me know of the posting schedule for that one as well please – if there is one of course. If not – you can just say no set schedule and I’ll include it as that.

Hi Ingrid! Great idea, by the way…

I’m Stewart Rogers, also known as TheRealSJR on various networks (including Twitter), and I blog at http://therealsjr.posterous.com.

My blog is a mish-mash of various interests, from social media marketing through to personal experiences. It is also the home of the Perpetual FollowFriday List (a better way to do #FFs every week) and the #FridayDistraction, two ideas of mine that I hope will be trending tags one day.

I don’t run the blog on a regular schedule. Instead, I just blog when I feel the need, but i do try to put at least one piece up a week.

I’ve done the decent thing and spread this post far and wide across the interwebs… :)

    Cheers!

Every body can not talk about what you are asking. it depends on the purpose behind blogging. For some it is their primary presentation on online and for others it is a source of limited exposure to get prospects. Some like to write others write because they have started a blog. No one can be compared here. All this is my approach. Ingrid I am not saying you have to think like me. Nice detailed post as usual

Reading on commenting on blogs is great.
Unfortunately this guide we’re working on here is for people who already have blogs and post in them regularly – they don’t have to have a set posting schedule of any kind though.

  • http://www.b2bmarketinginsider.com Michael Brenner

Helloooo there, I think we are almost new best friends by now. Seriously, we are right? LOL.

OK, so my blog is the B2B Marketing Insider. “Not another marketing blog!” you say. Well I decided there was room for a voice from someone inside the walls of large B2B company. I am livin’ the corporate marketing dream (mostly). Sometimes, I get inspired by the great work of my peers. Sometimes I get frustrated by the slow pace of change in a large company and in the marketing and business world at large. And sometimes, a guy just needs to rant.

My site is http://www.b2bmarketinginsider.com and I post on Tuesday and Thursday at exactly 9:34 am EST. And here’s why: because some guy told me to. Sort of. I work with a pretty smart SEO guy and he believes that a regular posting schedule is appreciated by the Google gods.

I don’t know about all that but I like me some structure in this crazy world. So I tested a couple different times of the day and found around 9:30 an EST seems to capture more people’s immediate attention than the other times I tested. It was an intentionally unscientific approach because sometimes I want to be more cavalier about my blog. I want to be all like “go away. I write when I want to!” But mostly I’ve been brain-washed into thinking that structure is good so I think you get the picture.

I do Tuesday and Thursday only because I set a goal to do 2 posts a week and that’s just how I do. Tuesday and Thursday is nicely spaced across the week. It is also partly that the goal is what motivates me. I mostly sit down to write with only a few ideas in my head. I search for some inspiration and it usually hits me. Then I throw up on the page for 20-40 minutes. Spell check. Soften the tone (sometimes) 😉 And schedule.

I hope at least some of that makes sense. Thank you for the opportunity to promote myself shamelessly!

    • http://nittygriddy.com/ Ingrid Abboud

Phewwww I finally made it here Michael :)!
My apologies for keeping you waiting for a reply this long. This particular post took a little longer for me to get to since I was including everyone’s info as I replied to each comment.

And yes – it seems like we most certainly are BFF’s hahaha. I’m really enjoying your work by the way. Some great stuff!

9:34 am eh? well, if that’s not exact and precise then I don’t know what is. It sounds like a train schedule haha.

I kinda write and publish when I want to – but I do have to series that are set in stone on Wed. and Sund. :). I think we should just do what works best for us and our blogs. But I have to say – that I often here 9:30 am is an ideal time. People have already gotten to work and had time to check their emails and stuff so they’re ready to take on the non-work readings by then hehe.

All of your comment makes perfect sense and was a pleasure to read. You need not worry about that – after all – we’re like BFF’s right? 😉 lol

As for promoting yourself shamelessly – well…that’s what this post was all about – so pimp away! :)

Thanks so much for leaving that very thorough and meaningful comment. I appreciate and I do hope to see you around these parts more often.

      Have a great week ahead.
      Cheers

Well hello there, Ambassador Abboud! You have officially become the United Nations of Blogging. What a generous offer and useful tool for all of us!!! A great way to connect so many people from so many backgrounds – love it.

So, you know me and you’ve kindly visited and mentioned my blog – woot! woot! SuperPost roundup!

For folks who don’t…my blog lives on my business website (I have a PR/Marketing firm in western NC): http://www.allisondevelopmentgroup.com/blog. And contrary to the catchy name at the end of the address there (blog), it actually has been given a name: Spot-On. For folks who are now subscribers, you know that. For folks who stumble across the website, you might miss it (note to self: correct that soon).

Spot-On is all about PR, Marketing, Social Media and a dose of ME and my struggle to balance my busy entrepreneur life with my equally busy life as a mom to 2 young kids and wife to 1 awesome husband. Because of that busy life, I usually post 2, sometimes 3 times a week. The first post can be Mondays or Tuesdays and the 3rd is ALMOST always on Fridays (missed last week!). Fridays are devoted to my video series: Small Biz Marketing Moments- tips for small biz owners – ’cause small biz is where it’s at!

I have just started opening up the blog to guest bloggers (hello, Joe Hackman! – we’re planning a pod cast guest spot – very exciting) and would love to do more of that! Oh, and I also tend to write lengthy blog comments. :-)

I seriously wonder about your sleep habits, but I’m just thinking you must be incredibly youthful or one of those folks who just requires very little sleep. I do not possess either of those attributes, so I’m always fascinated when I find someone who is. :-)

LOVE that Erica and a bit of LOL as well ;). Thank you.
I’m glad you like this idea. Hope this little guide will come in handy for you. I’m really trying to keep it as simple as possible with just the basic info that I asked for.

PS – as for my sleep habits – they pretty much suck. I pull all nighters quite often but I much prefer your conclusions so YES – I will take incredibly youthful – I’m not a day older than 19 (in my head)! :))

Why do I feel like I am walking out the door w/out any pants on? I guess I can look at this two ways: 1) just because I give you my information certainly does not mean I will have a flood of traffic and 2) don’t be a wuss, get your candy ass out there and just go for it, huh?

At some point I have to quit apologizing for myself and figure it out. I do have some ideas of what I want to do, but still a little ways away. I have the opportunity to guest post on a site that is somewhat related to my day job and that will probably be my first real leap into the blogosphere. I do tag my site when I respond to posts and it has actually generated some traffic so I need to figure it out sooner rather than later.

If you are compiling this in excel, it’s not cast in stone is it? If I actually get a self-hosted site will I be able to update my info?

  • http://www.waynejohn.com/ Wayne John

HI there. First time reader, first time commentator (here, at least). I’m Wayne, but my close friends call me the “hit and run”. I like to pop out of my man-cave, stir up conversation that just sends everyone in a loop, and leave everyone to deal with whatever happens. Hit and run. Good times at parties.

Anyway, I have no schedule. Readers get what they get, when I give it. I try to post frequently, but being a programmer doesn’t leave me much time to learn new stuff, write new stuff, do good work for my clients, and maintain a full time job, on top of running 100+ websites and hoping that big payday is coming (come on Google, rank me ya bastards :).

I have about 50 drafts that I work through, and every now and then one reaches a point where the finish line is in sight, and I hit publish. No rhyme or reason to it…just blogging.

I don’t care if you include me or not, that’s not why I’m leaving a comment. I’m more here to intro myself and see what you’re all about. Hotness, wordy, and a good personality. I like that. Perhaps I’ll subscribe. Maybe not. Who knows what the heck I’ll do….but I’ll do it if it feels right.

Tweeting and stumbling, good luck with the doc!

    • http://nittygriddy.com/ Ingrid Abboud

Hi there Mr. Hit and Run :)

It’s great to have you here and this community is all about conversation so by all means come on by whenever you have something to share.
Your comment made me LOL a few times – and thanks for those 3 super compliments :). Much appreciated.

Whether you subscribe or not – is totally up to you.
I figured since you made it over here – I would include you. So yes, I did go the extra step and find your info for myself. I decided that I liked your comment and that if you simply wanted to introduce yourself – you could have done so on any one of my posts – but you didn’t. You did so on this particular one. So either you care a little more than you say, or like you said you enjoy stopping by for the conversation (which you will find on most of my later posts) or…well I’m sure you know all the other reasons I’m thinking.

Either way – welcome aboard this little guide. If you decide you reaaaaally don’t care and don’t want to be in it – then by all means – when you get notified of this reply – do come back and tell me and I will respect your wishes and remove you. But that will have to be today since this guide is scheduled for this week – hopefully Wednesday.

      Cheers

      • http://www.waynejohn.com/ Wayne John

Thanks! I care, but not enough to loss sleep at night. 😉 Ya know? I’m glad you can see the humor in my writing. Of all things I’ve had to overcome (and work on everyday) is how to express a joke in writing whereas in speech it’s much easier for me. I’ve been misunderstood so many times…but anyway…enough of that.

I just found your subscribe by email…I think I forgot to hunt it down last time…thanks for responding to this comment and bringing this site back to my attention. I did want to subscribe, but forgot.

Looking forward to reading more from ya! All the best!

    Hola!

    1. My name is Paul Wolfe – everyone calls me Paul. My blog is One Spoon At A Time – here at http://www.onespoonatatime.com

    2. I post a newsletter article most mondays (so that’s password protected) and I post two to three times a week. Currently I’m in full on guest posting mode – so I tend to schedule my own posts around when other bloggers are publishing my stuff.

    3. Tweeted. Get down to the house of Griddy!

    • http://nittygriddy.com/ Ingrid Abboud

      Hey Paul,

Thanks so much for stopping by and I’m happy to include you in here ;).
I’m gonna put you down for no set schedule with probably a side note saying you publish 3 times a week.

Looks like you’re on a roll my friend! Keep rocking!

Wow, someone is getting really organized here. What is going on? Deadlines, instructions, shooo ba2d?

I post on Monday, Wed, Saturday and have a guest post on Friday.

I am writing this from the floor, where I fell after laughing off my chair. That photo is hilarious!

    • http://www.3hatscommunications.com/blog/ davinabrewer

I totally forgot to mention the photo, it’s the caption! And what are those adorable creatures, like ring tailed lemurs? Too funny.

      • http://live-your-love.com/ Brankica U

I thought we were really cute up there… you call me funny :'(

        RLMAO

        • http://nittygriddy.com/ Ingrid Abboud

We are cute – aren’t we? hehehehe

      • http://nittygriddy.com/ Ingrid Abboud

Funny that you said lemurs – that’s what I had thought of at first but I don’t recall us going to Madagascar so I figured I’d just say raccoons haha. Don’t we all look so great though? It’s from our hiking trip last summer lol ;). Of course Gini got tired – so Mufasa had to carry her a bit and poor Danny had to carry the rest of us.

    • http://cashcampfire.com Christina Crowe

Haha, I had a good laugh as well! Glad to see you joining in, John. :)

      Christina

      • http://nittygriddy.com/ Ingrid Abboud

I couldn’t resist. I just had to include that picture of my friends and I on our hiking trip last summer hahaha.

    • http://nittygriddy.com/ Ingrid Abboud

Hahaha at the Shooo ba2d – cause that’s exactly something I would say ;).
Glad you liked the photo John – I think the kids look great in it – don’t you?
I think Danny needs a hair cut though lol.

Thanks for making the info so nice and simple for me :).
      Talk to you later Falchetto!

      Cheers

    Hi Ingrid,

I’m another newbie. I started my blog, Marketing Musings and Other Stories, on 2/9/11. I’m currently on WordPress.com, http://marianneworley.wordpress.com, but I’m working on moving my blog over (maybe this weekend).

Like you, I’m a marcom type—spent my career in corporate marketing. I got laid off from a job I truly loved, along with most of our creative team, before Christmas. I’m looking for a permanent position with a great company, but I’m also picking up a lot of freelance projects. I blog as a creative outlet, to keep my writing skills sharp, and make connections.

I like to tell stories in my blog that relate to marketing or business. But I also write about my job search and the cool things I’m learning during my quest to build my social media expertise. I post 5 days per week, usually late at night, Sunday-Thursday.

I learned about your blog from Brankica, and I’ve been reading it ever since…

    -Marianne

    • http://nittygriddy.com/ Ingrid Abboud

      Hi Marianne,

Thanks so much for taking the time to introduce yourself.
I’m sorry to hear about your unfortunate lay off at work :(. I hope you find something you love again very soon.

Congrats on moving your blog over :). Just visited and noticed that you did already.
Do you have a tagline? I don’t see one on your home page. If you do – please make sure to come back and let me know ASAP. If not – I will just leave that section blank – no worries.

Happy to include you in this little guide. And thanks for reading – I hope to see you here more often.

      Cheers

  • http://joedegiorgio.com/ Joe @ Not Your Average Joe

    Hi Ingrid—
I’m relatively new here, came by way of Marcus the Big Jungle Cat. Love your easy, flowing style of writing. On my end, my blog is Not Your Average Joe, a site that touches on several topics, but mostly has content about what I call the “old school” principles way of living your life. I write from experience, and from the teachings of my Italian grandparents, two people I really love to write about.

I have recently committed to once a week posting, happening on Tuesday or Wednesday. I have a boatload of topics I’d like to write about and share, so hopefully I can get to posting more than once a week. Will retweet this, I am @JoeDeGiorgio. My site’s link is http://joedegiorgio.com/

    Hey Griddy!
Great idea – you really do ROCK bigtime! I’m sure it has little to do with your Lebanese blood,
    or DOES it!?
    😉
Well I’m surely RTing and here is my schedule for publishing http://www.lifeforinstance.com:
Mondays and Thursdays with Guest Authors every second week, usually on Mondays! And while I’m talking about Guest Authors, I should mention that we invite members of the community to do this; people who have been actively involved with LFI. In this way, when they post, everyone else recognizes them since they have likely already been in conversation with them.
    Hugs from your Can/Leb friend,
    Lori

    – My name is Davina, and I am a blogger. (Everyone: Hello, Davina. Me: Waves hello.) This is my blog: http://www.3hatscommunications.com/blog/

    – I blog on things marketing and communications like social media, public relations, writing, a little design with randomness tossed into mix via a “Lagniappe” category. (Louisiana thing.)

    – I follow Marcus around, and TRY to publish Monday and Thursday. Unless I can’t think of anything, then maybe Tuesday/Friday, which will probably happen this week as I got nothing set for tomorrow or Friday. (Panic ensues.) There may be spontaneous RANT posts as is my wont on occasion, but usually they’re folded into the ‘schedule’ unless it’s hot-button that needs to go right NOW.

Off to retweet this post, great idea.

    • http://www.thesaleslion.com/ Marcus Sheridan,The Sales Lion

Ahh Davina, you have sold yourself short woman!!

OK folks, here’s the real Davina: Witty, Spontaneous, Highly Opinionated, Funny as Heck, LOL goofy at Times, QATA (Queen of all things acronym), Never Boring, Always Succinct and Boldy to the Point, Completely Unexpected—-just a dang good writer and SM master.

There, I feel better now Davina. :-)

Check’s in the mail, Marcus. 😉

Marcus is right, you do sell yourself short and I love his description of you! xoxo!!!

    • http://nittygriddy.com/ Ingrid Abboud

      Hello Queen Davina :)

You need not worry – we follow Marcus around too and wee love your rants when you got em ;)!
I’m proud to say that I learned a new word today “Lagniappe”. Woohoo – Take that Gridictionary lol! I can’t wait to borrow it sometime and of course grace you with all the credit :).

By the way – I’m going with taglines – would yours be “i blog…you’ve been warned?” Or would you like me to use something else? Let me know as soon as you can – God Bless the ReplyMe plugin hahaha.

Oh – and since you switch back and forth between those 4 days – I may just have no set schedule for you so as to keep it simple for folks – with a little 2 times a week side note.

      Have a great day.
I’ll be waiting for you here about the tagline – if not – I will assume that you’re okay with that one.

      Cheers

  • http://cashcampfire.com Christina Crowe

Hey Ingrid – what an awesome idea! I know I’ll definitely find this useful for my blogging binder (it’s kick-ass!). 😉

Now time for an introduction, since I’m relatively new to your blog. But rest assured – you will be seeing more of me in the near future (don’t doubt it!).

My name is Christina (in case you couldn’t tell from the above headline – hello!), but my friends sometimes call me Chrissy (Please DON’T call me that!) and occasionally even Tina (I suppose that’s alright 😀 ). But if you want to stick with Christina – go right ahead; I’d actually prefer it. 😉

I’m an aquatic fish freak and can spend hours in front of the tank staring at my fish without growing bored (and I have several – tanks that is). When I’m not watching my mystery snails poop, I like to write until my fingers fall out of their sockets – or my eyes turn red, whichever happens first. You’ll often find me writing about writing, blogging about blogging, or rockin’ entrepreneurship on my blog Cash Campfire. That’s http://www.cashcampfire.com (click at your own risk!).

I work on a laptop and can’t wait to throw this baby out so that I can marry the love of my life – Alienware Area-51 ALX Desktop. I’m telling you – we are SO destined to be!

As for my schedule, I generally post every Monday and Wednesday. Guest posts are usually Friday (and sometimes I’ll add a post of my own on Friday if there’s no guest posts scheduled).

Well, that’s basically it about the wonderfully creative and most awesome chicka that you’ll ever meet – Christina (sorry Ingrid – you’re a close second 😉 ). Hope you enjoyed the show!

Now, if you can excuse me – tweets are in order. :)

    Christina

    • http://www.thesaleslion.com/ Marcus Sheridan,The Sales Lion

Wow Christina, now that’s a ‘make ya laugh and smile’ introduction. Go girl!!

Don’t thank him Christina – it just makes his head bigger hahaha! Kidding 😉

      Christina,

I finally made it woohooo! :)
My apologies for the late reply and thanks so much for this awesome, fantabulous introduction and comment! Seriously – you had me LOLing a few times here. I love your positivity and enthusiasm :).

I envy your patience with fish tanks – I usually get as restless as Nemo if I have to stare at one hahaha. But I do recognize the soothing benefits ;).

Oh – and no worries – I’ll stick to Christina if that’s what you prefer.
That;s so funny that you like to write till your fingers fall off – I do that too! Silly us eh?! hehe

As for Alienware – I have a couple friends that use it and they love it – but I never have myself so this Toshiba and HP is what I guess I have to stick to for now.

I’m putting you down for MWF.
Thanks again for dropping by and leaving your info. I most certainly look forward to having you back here – and OFTEN I hope :).

      Happy Monday.
      Cheers

  • http://simonduck.com Simon Duck

Hi, great website and thanks for this kind of post!

My name is Simon Duck and I run the website Profit Duck (http://profitduck.com). It’s about business, entrepreneurship and the internet.

I post on my site 3 times a week. I try and do it on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. I do this because it gives me a day in-between (Saturday off) to write a blog post and then get it up the following day. It also means I have 3 more days in the week to do marketing and promotion for my website.

    Retweeted and Stumbled!
    Cheers

      Hey Simon,

Great of you to stop by :).
Thanks a lot for taking the time to introduce yourself. Happy to have you on board.

      Thanks for sharing this post.
Hope to see you around these parts more often.
      Have a good week ahead.

    Hi Ingrid,

My name is Jens P. Berget and I blog at http://www.slymarketing.com

If I have a schedule, it’s tuesdays and thursdays. But lately, since I am writing my first novel, I haven’t been able to keep the schedule :)

    Thanks again.

    – Jens

    • http://cashcampfire.com Christina Crowe

Hey Jens – glad you’re coming on board! Good luck on that novel, and keep on being awesome. :)

      Christina

    • http://nittygriddy.com/ Ingrid Abboud

      Hey Jens,

Great to have you on board here :).
Thanks so much for dropping by and leaving your info.
      Hope you’re doing well.
Do you have a tagline by the way? I don’t see one on your home page. So if you do – please make sure to come back and let me know asap. Thanks :).

Good luck with your first novel. If you don’t have a set schedule at the moment I would rather put you down as that so it can be as accurate as possible for people. If I put T and Th, then folks will expect to see something when they stop by. If you’re back on this schedule – let me know as well – if not then I’ll stick to no set schedule.

      Have a good week.
      Cheers

Schedule? At least three per week, mostly weekday mornings – and then one on the weekends usually meatier or funny, depending on mood

    How’s that? – thanks :)

    • http://nittygriddy.com/ Ingrid Abboud

      Hey Rick,

      Thanks for coming by.

I will have to put you down for no set schedule since there are no exact dates and I can add a side not of 3 per week.

I went to your blog to get your tagline and your blog’s name.

    Hi Ingrid!!!

No schedule…I post when something inspires me (which can be weekly, or as little as once a month). I am determined to increase frequency & add Livefyre to it as well!

I know you have been kind enough to visit it & retweet it before, but here is the link : http://www.blog.sydcon.com

And, you know I will RT this…and put it out there anywhere else I can!! Have a great day! :)

I’ve been late in reply to comments on this post – so I’m sorry about that :(. I’ve been trying to round up the information as I go along and as you can see – I’m happy that there’s quite a bit :).

      Thanks for the info.
I think Livefyre does a great job of starting and continuing conversations actually.
I’m gonna put you down for no set schedule.

      Thanks for sharing.

  • http://www.thesaleslion.com/ Marcus Sheridan,The Sales Lion

    Hello Ms. Abboud,

My name is Marcus Sheridan, but some people call me other names, Like “Lion Boy”, “King of the Jungle”, or my bffs call me “Mufasa”.

I blog at http://www.thesaleslion.com. It’s pretty much the coolest community on Earth. One big hang out for a bunch of like-minded people learning and laughing on the web. There are also a few weird people there too. Actually just one. She’s from Lebanon, but we keep her entertained notwithstanding her mental deficiencies and struggles.

I post pretty regulary, usually every Monday and Thursday morning. This schedule gives me just enough time to connect deeply with my rockin community of friends.

Now, because it’s my greatest desire to be in your ‘Mega Guide’, I’m off to RT and share this post to anyone and everyone that will listen. I’ve already emailed President Obama as well this morning notifying him of the deadline. He said his schedule was pretty busy these days, but would push back his meetings with the leaders of the world so as to address this pressing matter.

I hope this meets your requirements Ms. Abboud.

    Cordially Yours,

    El Leon

    • http://live-your-love.com/ Brankica U

OMG, Marcus, I know that weirdo from Lebanon too :) She is kinda cute though…

      Alright M,

I’m here – I’m finally here. And although this comment of yours is the bomb and made me LOL a few times (cough), I’m gonna keep this reply to you short and sweet cause my fingers are officially swollen – seriously – it’s pretty cool and scary ahaha.

As for that girl from Lebanon – I don’t think I know her – poor thing thought ;).
Happy to have you in this little guide my dear friend.

Hi Ingrid, (I should call you Griddy, huh?)
This is my first time commenting here, so HI! We’ve chatted before, elsewhere, I’m the CCO at Spin Sucks.
Well, I beat @ginidietrich over here so I’ll speak for us over at Spin Sucks. : )
We post twice/per day at 9 am (gini’s post) and 12 noon (the guest post). Fridays, there is no guest post at noon, rather Gin and Topics! a roundup of the week’s best stories.
Now we are doing a Sunday post and when I say we, I mean Gini. That is typically a very tactical tools-oriented post.
Thank you! and I finally came and visited at your place!

    • http://nittygriddy.com/ Ingrid Abboud

      Hi Lisa,

By all means – call me Griddy :).
My apologies for the late reply here. Oh, and I think you commented here once before on my Crap, I have nothing to post article – unless I’m mistaken – either way – it’s great to have you here.

Gini decided to ride her bike over here so I’m expecting her any day next month ahhaha.

I’m gonna put you guys down for everyday except Saturday – although you guy’s have posted a couple times on Saturdays. So I can just put ever single day if you prefer. Totally up to you :).

Awesome of you to stop by. I hope to see more of you over here.
      Have a super weekend Lisa.
      Cheers

  • http://dannybrown.me Danny Brown

No schedule. I post when inspired. 😉

That could be every day; every other day; first thing in the morning; middle of the day; after midnight. I don’t pre-plan posts; all my articles are written on the day as they come to me.

    Maybe I should revisit this approach… 😉

    • http://live-your-love.com/ Brankica U

I think Danny is pretending he did not see the pic at the top :)

I thought you post every day, Danny, that is how it looks to me, cause I will check my reader and see I missed a bunch of your posts. Oooooops, gotta do some reading over at your house today!

      • http://dannybrown.me Danny Brown

Haha, I did notice that pic. :)

Generally I will post every day, but there are times I’m either too busy or just don’t have anything to say. So I’ll stay quiet as opposed to putting out a post “just because” :)

        • http://www.expatlifecoach.com/blog John Falchetto

THank God your stopped the Saturday evening posting madness, imagine all the commenting while drunk going on!

          • http://nittygriddy.com/ Ingrid Abboud

            Hahahaha!
Those would be funny to read. Did you know there was a plugin for that – testing whether you’re too drunk or not to leave a comment – I think it’s for Facebook as well for statuses. Can you imagine what a drunk FB status would be like?! haha

        • http://nittygriddy.com/ Ingrid Abboud

Hope you liked the pic by the way. I thought it appropriate that you’d be the one to carry all of us hehe.
And I couldn’t agree more about your philosophy – if you don’t have anything to say – then silence is golden.

      • http://nittygriddy.com/ Ingrid Abboud

I was under that impression too – that he pretty much posts every day, I know there a day or two when I came when he didn’t but heck – he’s human! LOL 😉

    • http://cashcampfire.com Christina Crowe

Wow – I have the habit of doing this very same thing, Danny! Glad to see you joining in. :)

      • http://dannybrown.me Danny Brown

        Can’t beat an official blog-when-you-like party! 😉

      • http://nittygriddy.com/ Ingrid Abboud

I like that philosophy as well Christina. And it works wonders for Danny. He just rocks at what he does – every time!!!

    • http://hustlersnotebook.com Jk Allen

I love your approach Danny (pleae dont’ change a thing)…I’m just trying to keep up. I read all your posts – just can’t always manage to make it to comment!

      • http://dannybrown.me Danny Brown

Cheers, Jk, appreciate that you come over mate. :)

        • http://nittygriddy.com/ Ingrid Abboud

We hardly ever miss the party at the Bonsai house Danny :). We might not always bring a bottle of good wine over, but we show up nonetheless – invited or not! Hehe

      • http://nittygriddy.com/ Ingrid Abboud

I whole-heartedly agree with you there JK! I’ve rarely missed one of Danny’ posts – seriously. But much like you – I don’t comment on every single one – he might ban me if I did LOL ;).

    • http://twitter.com/skypulsemedia Howie at Sky Pulse Media

What inspires you Danny? And your comment reminds me of the old Steve Martin skit explaining how often he smokes pot. There is the morning smoke. Then the Lunch smoke. Then the late morning smoke. And the after breakfast but before mid morning smoke. Then the early afternoon but not quite dinner time but definitely before the late afternoon pre-dinner smoke.

      • http://nittygriddy.com/ Ingrid Abboud

How did I miss that sketch? LOL!!!
I’m gonna’ have to look for it on YouTube or something.

    • http://nittygriddy.com/ Ingrid Abboud

      Hola DB,

And how did I not know that actually?! Huh!
Well considering you easily post 4 times a week, there’s no way I want to put no set schedule for you – so gonna’ have to find a way :).

I think you should stick to the approach that works best for you. And what you’re doing now obviously seems to be doing wonders my dear friend.

I’m sorry for the late reply btw and I really appreciate you dropping by. In case you want me to put specific days or anything at all – please don’t hesitate to let me know.

      Happy Saturday to ya Bonsai.
      Cheers

Hey Griddy, I’ve tweeted, FB liked and Stumbled so far. Blog Interact I’ve broken I think, as I just get a white screen!

    My site is http://www.informationjunkiesanonymous.com

I post Mondays and Wednesdays at 8am (currently BST for UK), and I have a newsletter out on Friday afternoons, just in time for weekend reading.

I don’t know what I can do to help, but if you need any, give me a shout! :)

    • http://live-your-love.com/ Brankica U

Thanks so much for all the sharing – much appreciated :).
I got you down for Mondays and Wednesday’s since those are the ones on your blog.
Happy to have you included here.
I also added your tagline since you forgot to mention it. I used Managing Information Overload and well as the sentence that comes below it. If you’d like it to say otherwise – please let come back and let me know.

      Have a good week.
      Cheers

  • http://twitter.com/tobiascai Tobias Cai

Hi Ingrid! I’m Tobias. looking forward to your guide.

I blog at http://usingapple.com and I do post once per day at around 10-11pm UTC+8.

    Thanks!

    • http://nittygriddy.com/ Ingrid Abboud

      Hi Tobias,

      Thanks for the info.

You neglected to leave me your blog’s name and your tagline. I don’t see one on your home page – so I presume you don’t have a tagline.

I’m also trying to be as accurate as possible and therefore when I checked your site – it doesn’t look like you published every single day of the week so far this month – you’ve got 8 right now (april 18) – but I do see the rest of the months are pretty accurate and good on you for being so dedicated :). So I will put you down for 7 days a week anyways unless you come back to let me know otherwise or if your posting schedule has changed.

      Cheers

  • http://www.WaxingUnLyrical.com Shonali Burke

Well, you know me, so I won’t include the link (plus Disqus is supposed to show it, right?) – and thank you for the opportunity!

I post to Waxing UnLyrical, my main blog, focusing on PR, communication & social media, every day. However, when I say “I,” I mean a team of regular guest bloggers as well as occasional guest posters (cough cough and ahem) help make this happen. There is no way – NO way – I’d be able to keep to a schedule of daily posts if it were just me. That was one of the reasons I started growing a team of bloggers, and also because one of the things that fascinates me is how people around the world communicate – what’s different, what’s not – so that’s been the main factor in securing the regular bloggers.

Usually WUL posts publish between 6 & 7 am ET. I know people have all sorts of opinions as to the best time to post, but I’ve found that for WUL, that’s a good time to get ’em out there, since most of the readers are US-based. It also allows me to try & do a little promotion on Twitter (which has been growing increasingly less, btw, as the community sharing WUL posts – you included, thank you! – has grown, and for which I’m very grateful).

I recently started a food blog: Spicing Out (http://www.spicingout.com). That’s my “fun” blog. It’s where I’ve started posting recipes I come up with, cool stuff, etc., and I have no compunction about having to post every day, every other day, etc. I tend to cook quite a bit, so most of all, it’s where I’m archiving my recipes. Who knows, some day they might turn into a book!

    • http://nittygriddy.com/ Ingrid Abboud

      Well hello there Shonali :)

Thanks so much for that fantabulous comment!
As for your blog – it rocks and then some!
As for us sharing your work and that of your guest – you’re most welcome – they deserved to be shared and more!
As for publishing at 6 and 7 am – good for you for doing what is best and what works for you and your blog. It’s different for each and we have to know that. There is no one magic formula that fits all.

I will be including both your blogs in here.
It’s great to have you be in this my dear.
Sorry for my late reply – I’ve been going at these one by one as I plug the information in – and even go look for it for others who forgot to leave what I asked for :(. Oh well…

Hope you had a good weekend.
      Cheers

I now post on Thursdays. Changed from when I started but will try to leave it at Thursday for the moment. Don’t want to make your task any more complicated 😉

And I reckon you know where the blog smells sweetest so don’t have to give you my URL. This guide will be so helpful, cos I see Lye & Alex are a bit random with their posting schedules too, just like I’ve been LOL

    Hi Ingrid,

I actually don’t have a regular posting schedule. I am currently posting every three days, being Monday, Thursday and Sunday. Alternate week, i will try to post on Tuesday, friday and Sunday.

I will try to stick the intervals in 2-3 days. So far i have been able to stick to it. But you know at time when i don’t feel like posting, you will not see a post from me up to 4 days. That’s rare as i am trying to inflict some self discipline.

    Regards,

    Lye

    • http://nittygriddy.com/ Ingrid Abboud

      Hey Lye,

      Great to have you here.
Since you don’t have an exact posting schedule – I’m gonna put you down for no set schedule as I’m doing with others.

Happy to have you included here.
I also added your tagline since you forgot to include it.

      Have a good week.

    haha nice Ingrid

    Great question too.
I post twice a week on average, and no I have no set time or schedule – in fact I am thinking of cutting down to once a week maybe?

    • http://live-your-love.com/ Brankica U

You can’t do that, that would not be enough. You know we do read your blog, so you better get your act together!! 😛

Yeah – I kinda just told him that too hahaha

    Hi Ingrid,

Starting this year I have been publishing a lot more. I now publish Monday thru Friday (weekdays). I used to only publish once a week, but I didn’t like not adding more for my readers so I increased it to 5 times a week.

Just in case Disqus does display my blog URL, here it is http://technicallyeasy.net.

    • http://nittygriddy.com/ Ingrid Abboud

      Hey Paul,

Thanks for being so clear and making it easy on me :).

    I am so perttttttttyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!!

Posting – Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday :)

For now, cause I keep forgetting sometimes, lol. But I managed to post every day I planned to, since I started with the schedule few months ago.

I am not gonna post anything like links and stuff cause you know which one I am (at the top) and I will put my links instead of everyone’s in that file anyway, lol.

By the way, I really plan to stand you up on this one so you take the dog….ha ha ha, just kiddin’, not letting anyone have this pile of cuteness :)

Kisses, Griddy and love being a part of your project. Oh yeah, and I will vote and share just so you don’t kick me out of it!

I’m sorry – but do we know each other?

You rock Brankica – thank you for what you might soon regret to have said yes to haha.
I’m really looking forward to collaborating on this. I’m piling up the info into an excel spreadsheet as we speak – just so we have all the necessary info when we go ahead with the design and all.

Talk to you later – ummm…that was to Roma 😉

    Hi Griddy!

Thanks to the Twitter and you are a good tweeple!

I’m Suresh Khanal from Nepal. I blog at http://seommotips.com and very excited to get your guide. I believe it will be worthy and useful for all bloggers.

Ohhw! Posting Schedule? I don’t have any fixed day to publish. There is a series post FridayGems where I list the great posts I’m gone through the week – that’s on Friday obviously, except that, I hit Publish when I finish any post.

    • http://nittygriddy.com/ Ingrid Abboud

      Hi Suresh,

Thanks for dropping by and I’m glad you think this guide will be useful. Although it will be very basic and simple – I’m hoping it will make people’s blog hopping journey a little easier.

      Thanks for your input.

Just to recap – you regularly post every Friday but you have no set schedule for the rest.

      Have a great week.

Howdy Ingrid! One of my favorite servers(waitress) in the world is an immigrant from Germany named Ingrid. She showed me the ropes when I started working my first job as a server(waiter) at a Mexican restaurant called Rio Bravo. One of the best things about her is that she appreciated the irony of being a German working in a Mexican restaurant in America!

    1. My Blog is http://skattagun.blogspot.com I’m Brandon, ham radio callsign KG4GVL, if you use Morse Code, you can call me “GB”. My blog covers a wide range of topics, the most regular of which are omelettes, ham radio, and the ruby programming language.

    2. My blog is event driven more than schedule driven. That being said, my omelette review is a weekly thing every Friday, usually by noon. I review a new flavor omelette that I’ve made and ate for breakfast. I also try to include something interesting about ham radio once a month. I blog when I solve problems, or if something interesting catches my eye. I am becoming more discipline in my posting report, because I believe that seemingly disconnected things are more intertwined that people think.

    3. You’ve been shared on my facebook, and I now tweet this!

Awesome comment and contribution Brandon thank you :).
I would call you GB but alas…I don’t know Morse Code but now I kinda wanna’ learn it lol!

You had me LOL on your first paragraph :). Yes – Ingrid is a Scandinavian name and as such very popular in Germany – but maybe less popular in other parts of the world. Either way – I’m glad it rings nicely and that it’s connected with good memories for ya lol. A German working in a Mexican place HA! Love it!

Just so that I’m clear – since I’m trying to make this guide as simple as possible for people. You post on Friday’s. And you don’t have a Set Schedule. Correct?

I’m still deciding on the layout but right now I have them as check boxes with either days or not set schedule and I want to make sure I get yours right. So unless you verify that – that’s probably what it will go as :).

Now I’m hungry for an omelette – thank you very much!!! lol
I appreciate you introducing yourself and sharing here.

      Cheers

          Brandon – you rock!!!

Thanks for coming back with that info – although I’ll admit to having gone to your blog to get as much as I could hehe. I’m happy to include you in here.

          Cheers

  • http://thecoffeeadventures.com Jamie Ferguson

Hello! I’ve been visiting your blog for awhile, but I have not commented much. :( I’m Jamie by the way, and I run http://thecoffeeadventures.com which is a site about my adventures through the world of coffee. You will find coffee reviews, experiments, how-to’s and much more.

I post every two days so I can’t give you exact days.

BTW: This is a great post! I’ll be checking back to see more awesome people I can follow. :)

    • http://nittygriddy.com/ Ingrid Abboud

      Hey Jamie,

Great to have you here. I’m actually familiar with your coffee lovin’ blog :). Very cool!
Glad you like the idea behind this post. I’m hoping to keep the guide as simple as possible – even though I’d like to include everything people say haha – but I want to try and make your lives easier so I’ll be keeping the basic info.

In your case – I presume the No Set Schedule (box to tick) description might be the easiest. I’m still working on a way to fit in the extra info – so if I come up with a good one that doesn’t clutter the guide then I will include the every two days.

      Thanks for participating.
      Cheers

Well, hello Griddy. I got here and I can blame Robert Dempsey for it. Nice to meet you!
I do blog, but very occasionally as work has been pulling me away from it. Still, my goal is to publish every week (as soon as I start blogging again), usually Sundays. The link is
    http://wmp-archi.blogspot.com/
Architect’s Thoughts, and it is a techie blog about software architecture, with topics like SOA, REST and another not so common ones. Welcome to visit!

    • http://nittygriddy.com/ Ingrid Abboud

      Hey William,

Well I’m glad Rob pointed you in my direction :). Thank you to both of you.
Nice to have you on board. Sunday’s it is then.

Best of luck to you. I know how work can takeover sometimes but it’s nice to see you’ve set a goal for yourself. Good for you :).

      Cheers

What a fun idea, which is a bunch o work for you. Thank you for the opportunity. I’m the primary copy dude for TKO Graphix corp. blog.http://blog.tkographix.com. I’m excited because in our 2nd quarter plan, we are taking the blog to a new level. The previous 6 months we have posted one new blog per week. Our new plan is to post one blog, one video, and one case study per week. We plan to post the video Monday or Tuesday, case study Tuesday or Wednesday, and full post Thursday or Friday. And, we began using an editorial calendar this month! I know right? TKO works B2B and has something to help almost any biz large or small. This offers our blog staff the opportunity to write, or video, many topics including graphics, management, social media, leadership, and humor. Using the editorial calendar will help us vary and control the content. Once again thank you. I was once told going public with goals is one of the best accountability strategies. Guess I’ve done it now. 😉

      Hi Randy,

Thanks so much for that very thorough introduction and explanation. Nice to have you on board. Seems like you’ve got quite the goals set for yourself and your company – good for you :). Awesome, actually :)! And yes – sometimes going public with your objects pushes you to work harder at attaining them – I did that a while back and it really served as a motivating factor.

I’m trying to keep the guide as simple as possible so as to make it easy for people to see what days folks publish their content. If they don’t have a specific posting schedule – then I will check that box off. But it seems that you do have a very good idea and that’s great. However, I’d like to be able to tick the boxes for your posting days since you know them but I’m not sure which one’s you’re leaning more towards. From what I can tell here – Tuesday is definitely a day when you’ll have something out (either the video or the case study). I can either tick off the tuesday box and the no set schedule box or I can say 3 times a week (including Tuesday’s).

Do you know what days for sure you’re leaning towards or should I keep it vague (besides Tuesday) as I stated above?

Thanks again for taking the time to tell us about yourself and your plans.
      Cheers

Blog posting schedule: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday are certain. Weekends occasionally.
I always, ALWAYS post at 1:00 a.m. on the day of the post. This is so my posts can hit the morning twitter feeds of my colleagues in Europe. Seems to work for me.

I won’t trust Disqus with my blog, so here you are: http://www.experiate.net

And Griddy, I got your stumbleupon!

    • http://nittygriddy.com/ Ingrid Abboud

      Hi Paul,

      Nice to see you here.
Thanks for the info and make it so clear as well as the Stumble :).

      Have a good week.
      Cheers

Awesome of you to stop by and participate in this. And good to know about the weekend thing. Heck, publish an article SuperPost Sunday – no need to clarify when that day is right? lol
