At sixteen I was stupid, confused and indecisive. At twenty-five I was wise, self-confident, prepossessing and assertive. At forty-five I am stupid, confused, insecure and indecisive. Who would have supposed that maturity is only a short break in adolescence?

Vintage Advertising — Ah, the Good Old Days!

all i can say is that advertising has come a long way since the olden days! some ads that were acceptable in the past, would not be tolerated today, while others are simply funny or silly due to our value system which has radically changed.

take a look at some great vintage ads below — some are comical, some are outrageous and a whole lot are sexist!

LOL :) I’m glad you found them entertaining. I came across so many of these sexist type ads but chose the few I liked the most! Pretty crazy when you think where the ad industry was and where it is now. I’d love to see people’s reactions if one of these was run today — youch! Honestly though, I can’t think of the one I laughed the most at but the “blow in her face” one is up there!
